The “Capacity Building Training” programme, developed within the international ArtisticMinds project, has completed its pilot phase in the partner countries. In Poland, CRAVE Music Agency delivered four online training sessions attended by a total of 40 professionals from the culture and creative sectors, mental health and education.

The ArtisticMinds capacity building training consists of 15 modules and includes two complementary educational pathways – for experts from the culture and creative sectors (CCS) and for mental health professionals (MH). The programme provides knowledge and practical tools supporting the creation of a more accessible and inclusive artistic environment for young people with intellectual disabilities and/or neurodivergent profiles.

The training covers, among other things, the use of art and culture to support self-expression and wellbeing, the application of digital technologies in art and culture, creative mentoring, accessibility, and the practical use of fields such as art therapy, music therapy, drama therapy, digital art, phototherapy and choreotherapy.

The Polish pilot in numbers

The Polish pilot was delivered by CRAVE Music Agency in four four-hour online sessions: 2 and 16 July, 18 August and 14 September 2026. The sessions were held in Polish and based on the Polish translation of the programme prepared by CRAVE.

A total of 40 people took part: 20 experts from the culture and creative sectors and 20 mental health professionals and educators.

Each session included an introduction to the ArtisticMinds project and the full training programme, as well as practical work with selected materials from three modules.

As part of Module 01, “Introduction to the capacity building training course”, participants learned about the ArtisticMinds project, its main objectives and the structure of the 15-module training programme.

In the part devoted to Module 04, “Using digital technologies to improve art and culture”, participants carried out the exercises “AI as a Creative Partner” and “Designing Inclusive Futures (a speculative workshop)”, experimenting with the possibilities of using digital tools and artificial intelligence in creative processes and inclusive activities.

Within Module 10, “Area of application of the acquired knowledge – music therapy”, participants completed three practical exercises: “Pulse together”, “Rhythm & Move (NMT – MACT Inspired)” and “Sound identity check-in”.

Participants worked in small groups and were also introduced to the ArtisticMinds e-learning platform and its resources. Each meeting ended with a discussion enabling the exchange of professional experience and gathering feedback on the programme and the materials used.

After completing the training, every participant received a certificate of attendance. The feedback and recommendations gathered during the pilot are being used to further refine the Polish version of the training.

What’s next?

The experience gained during the pilot is one of the elements of preparation for the next stage of the project – the ArtisticMinds Cultural and Creative Programme, delivered within the network of ArtisticMinds cultural and creative hubs.

The Polish CRAVE Living Hub powered by ArtisticMinds will develop activities addressed both to young artists and to professionals working in culture, education, mental health and support. The next stages will include, among others, mentoring activities, creative workshops, the use of ArtisticMinds digital tools and a public presentation of participants’ work.

The ArtisticMinds project (Grant Agreement No. 101173645) is co-funded by the European Union under the Creative Europe programme.
