May is for us the month of the project start, which was financed by Creative Europe and got CRAVE in 2024. ArtisticMinds launches simultaneously in six countries — each of the partners organizes their own Inauguration Days. The Polish branch will take place on May 28 at Sztukarnia at Niepodległości 80 (entrance from Odynca street).
Program: overview + workshop
At 17:30 we start with a brief presentation of the project — what we plan to do over the next two years, who’s in the consortium, how we want to include people with intellectual disabilities in the fields of culture and creativity. This isn’t an academic panel, it’s a conversation about practicalities: what kind of workshops, for whom, in what places.
At 18:00 the workshop part begins — and it’s actually worth coming just for that.
Karolina Sobolewska: movement, sound, image
The workshop will be led by **Karolina Sobolewska** — art therapist, psychologist, and artist. The method she’ll use during the session is built around a combination of movement, sound, and image. Her approach helps participants discover new forms of expression, especially useful for people who find it difficult to express themselves verbally. Through body work and creative activities, participants can explore their emotions and experiences in a safe, supportive environment.
ArtisticMinds — who and why
**ArtisticMinds** is a Creative Europe project that brings together ten partners from six countries. The project is coordinated by the Christos Stelios Ioannou Foundation from Cyprus. CRAVE is responsible for the music component and distribution. The goal is to develop innovative methods of artistic education and therapy, with special focus on including people with intellectual disabilities in cultural and creative activities.
Six countries, one week
The inauguration events are taking place simultaneously across six European countries during one intensive week. Besides Poland, similar events are happening in Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, and Spain. Each partner brings their unique approach to art therapy and inclusive education, creating a rich exchange of experiences and methodologies.
**If you’re interested in art therapy, inclusive education, or simply curious about innovative approaches to creativity and culture, come join us on May 28 at Sztukarnia. The event is free, but registration is required due to limited space.**
